The Inmate Chart Interface is designed to somewhat mimic a paper chart. The tabs across the top of the screen can correspond to the tabs present in a paper chart. These tabs are called ‘smart tabs’ as specific tabs can be setup to only appear for specific inmate medical conditions, or the inmate’s age, race, sex, or the current user’s security clearance. For example, a glucose report tab may be designed to only appear if the patient is diabetic. Counseling tabs may only appear for mental health patients. Pregnancy evaluation tabs only appear for pregnant women.
The list of inmates on the left side of the screen (blocked in yellow) can be all inmates in the correctional facility or a specific subset. The list may be all inmates in a specific cell, pod, wing, building, or holding area. The list can also consist of all inmates admitted or discharged on a specific date; or a list of all inmates that have appointments with the medical facility and/or a specific healthcare provider.
This screen shot is the overview tab. It displays the current problems, allergies, medications, and past medical history for the currently hi-lighted inmate.
